GED Preparation

Classes to brush up on basic skills as well as GED test preparation are offered by Ozarks Technical Community College in cooperation with the school districts and agencies throughout Greene, Polk, Dallas, Lawrence, Christian, Taney, Webster and Wright counties.

Day and evening classes are available. Classes are FREE and the courses are tailored to meet each individual's unique needs. Students are individually assessed and learning plans are created.

Students work at their own pace in small groups or individually with materials suited to their specific abilities. Courses can prepare students to take the state GED (General Educational Development) exam.

Registration consists of filling out enrollment forms and an initial assessment and evaluation. Students must attend a minimum of 15 hours in the class.

The Practice-GED test will be given by appointment only. Please call (417) 447-8860 for more information on the testing.

Free reading or English as a Second Language classes are also available.
